The third General Assembly meeting was held at Aerones in Riga, Latvia on 18 September 2025. Delegates from project partners EDP, Alerion, Tecnalia, Front and University of Leeds discussed the project progress on system integration, preparation of the field trials, and other activities. In the proceeding days from 15 September, Tecnalia and Front had brought their tailored made repair and inspection kits for integration with Aerones’ robotic system. A series of ground tests were then conducted which showed that the integrated systems were working at wind turbine blade segments on the ground level and that the AI model from Alerion is capable of detecting defects in the shearography images. As a result, it was agreed at the GA meeting that the field trials on operational wind turbines will be carried out during a week in October 2025 in wind farms in Spain which were owned by EDP Renewables.
